SONCAP is a new policy implemented by the Nigerian federal government to screen and control the export of unqualified and unsafe products to the country. SONCAP is a compulsory conformity assessment procedure in Nigeria. From April 1 2003, independent third-party organizations no longer directly issue SONCAP certification, but exporters apply for product conformity certification (CoC certification) in the applicant country. Then the importer will use the valid CoC to apply for the SONCAP certificate from the Nigerian Bureau of Standards.

Therefore, exporters must know whether the products they produce and sell are controlled products and whether they have obtained SONCAP certification, so as to better reduce troubles, reduce unnecessary costs and realize profits.

SABS (South African National Bureau of Standards) is a subsidiary of South Africa's Ministry of Trade and Industry. Is a neutral third-party certification body in South Africa, responsible for system certification and product certification in South Africa. SABS also manages mandatory standards on behalf of the state and grants products that meet the standards the right to use the logo. In addition, it is also responsible for issuing certificates to enterprises that meet ISO900 1 and ISO9002, and on behalf of the country and some major buyers, it is responsible for pre-shipment inspection and testing, and issues certificates of conformity. SABS is the issuing authority of COC certificate and SABS mark certificate.

SABS certification can be divided into two categories: product certification and system certification, while ear SABS product certification mainly includes the following eight categories:

SABS certification can be divided into two situations: the first application is to apply for LOA and COC, and the import of these two countries to South Africa is mandatory. This certification procedure does not allow SABS marks to be marked on products, nor does it require factory inspection; The second application can re-apply for the use of SABS trademark on the basis of the first application, which requires a series of factory inspections, and the cost is very high. It is necessary to pay a certain annual fee and factory inspection fee every year to maintain the right to use the trademark.

NRCS is called the National Mandatory Requirements Control Department in China. Its predecessor was the supervision department of SABS certification, and later it became an independent department, which was the issuing agency of LOA certificates.
