What? I'm really surprised to see this problem. The wages of sanitation workers are not high. It is hot in summer and cold in winter. There are no holidays, rain or shine. In our subconscious, sanitation is a dirty and tiring job. But why are so many people willing to be sanitation workers now? After careful consideration, I think there may be the following main reasons:

First, the enhancement of environmental awareness.

In my childhood memory, the sanitary environment in the city where I lived was particularly dirty. The main reason is that the quality of most citizens is not high, and they lack the consciousness of consciously protecting environmental sanitation, so they litter at will, which makes the environmental sanitation conditions in our home worse and worse. However, with the continuous improvement of people's living standards, most people put forward higher and stricter requirements for the living environment after achieving adequate food and clothing and healthy diet. Only when the living environment is good can we all be happy, healthy and comfortable. Therefore, most people's awareness of environmental protection has gradually increased, especially retired aunts and grandfathers. In order to exert their residual heat and continue to make contributions to society, they joined the ranks of striving to be sanitation workers, not for wages, but for the city where we live. The sanitary conditions are getting better and better, the environment is getting more and more beautiful, and it is becoming more and more suitable for human habitation.

Second, the employment situation is grim and the employment pressure is great.

Since the year before last, China's economy has continued to decline, and the employment problem has become extremely severe. Although the relevant government departments continue to take measures to improve the employment problem, most jobs are saturated, and college students join the employment force, which makes the employment of those with low academic qualifications worse. On the other hand, few people care about the work of sanitation workers in cities. In recent years, with the rapid development of urbanization, the continuous expansion of urban framework and the sharp increase of urban population, urban sanitation departments lack a lot of manpower. As a result, those with low academic qualifications who are difficult to find employment have become sanitation workers. Although their salary is not too high, it is still many times better than unemployment.

Third, the equipment is becoming more and more perfect and the work is easy.

With the improvement of the general public's requirements for living environment and sanitation, coupled with the increasing urban area, in order to improve the cleaning efficiency and achieve the ideal effect, the relevant government departments have invested huge sums of money to buy a large number of modern cleaning equipment. Many posts in the sanitation department and most of the main roads no longer need sanitation workers to brave the scorching sun and use traditional brooms to clean the city in the cold. Instead, a large number of large-scale mechanical equipment, such as sprinklers and road sweepers, can be used by sanitation workers after driving and operation training. They clean several times a day and rest at other times, which can be said to be much easier than most bottom industries. That's why so many people are willing to be sanitation workers.
