Where does Beijing's sewage flow?

After Beijing's sewage is treated, there are different ways to discharge and treat it according to different sources and sewage types:

1. Some domestic sewage and industrial wastewater are discharged into the urban sewage pipeline after being treated by the municipal sewage treatment plant, and finally flow into the Bohai Sea.

2. After special treatment, part of the sewage is used for agricultural irrigation, industrial cooling, road sprinkling and other fields.

Generally speaking, most of Beijing's sewage is discharged into natural water bodies after proper treatment. However, in the past decade, Beijing has made great efforts to rectify sewage and minimize its negative impact on the environment, and the water quality has gradually improved.
