Brief introduction of Zhuze Town

Zhuze Town, located in liyang city, Jiangsu Province, is now formed by the merger of Ma Qian Town and Zhuze Town. Now the total population of Xinzhuze Town is about 78,000, with a total area of about 160.8 square kilometers. The former site of the famous Jiangnan headquarters of the New Fourth Army is located in the former Qianmashui Village. Zhuze is one of the four ancient towns of Liyang and Jintan. Zhuze Town was the capital of the State of Wu in the Western Zhou Dynasty 3000 years ago, and was the political, economic and cultural center of North Liyang in the Northern Song Dynasty, and was known as the "important town in the North Mountain". It is a "Health Town in Jiangsu Province" and one of the new model towns in Jiangsu Province.
