Chutian Scholars Program was initiated by Hubei Province and implemented by Hubei Provincial Department of Education. It aims to strengthen the construction of high-level talents in colleges and universities in Hubei Province, attract, select and bring up a number of leading disciplines and professional leaders at home and abroad, and form a number of outstanding innovative teams. The Ministry of Education has decided to implement the Chutian Scholars Program and support universities to hire Chutian scholars. Chutian Scholar Program includes three projects: Chutian Scholar, Chutian Scholar Forum and Chutian Scholar Achievement Award.

According to the employment conditions and responsibilities, Chutian scholars are divided into three grades: lecturer, distinguished professor (including lecturer) and Chutian students. The scope of employment includes natural sciences and humanities and social sciences; Chutian scholars carry out the post appointment system, insist on setting posts on demand, open recruitment, expert evaluation, merit-based appointment and contract management, and realize the organic unity of setting posts, selecting people and doing things.

The province recruits 65,438+00 lecturers, 40 lecturers from distinguished professor (including 65,438+00 lecturers) and 50 students from Chutian every year for five years. Chutian scholars enjoy funding from Chutian scholars during their employment; Chutian Scholars Forum is sponsored by the Provincial Department of Education or the institutions of higher learning where Chutian scholars are located. Organize Chutian scholars to give special reports or exchange research results with peers on the development trend of international academic frontiers, the construction and management of academic teams, and play a demonstration and leading role.
