I. School of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Central South University

On June 28th, 2009, Central South University integrated the relevant advantageous disciplines of School of Information Science and Engineering, School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, School of Materials Science and Engineering and School of Powder Metallurgy to form the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The college has the characteristics of high starting point of scientific research and high teaching standards, and is a high-level talent training base with multidisciplinary comprehensive quality and innovative ability.

The college has two teaching departments, namely, the Department of Detection Guidance and Control and the Department of Aerospace Materials, and the Institute of Aircraft Landing System. There are two key majors of national defense specialty undergraduate: detection, guidance and control technology, material science and engineering. It has doctoral programs and postdoctoral research stations in the first-class disciplines of materials science and engineering, control science and engineering; Master's degree in aerospace science and technology. There are four master's programs in aircraft design, aerospace propulsion theory and engineering, aerospace manufacturing engineering and man-machine and environmental engineering. The teaching staff is of high quality and strong professional ability, and all teachers have doctoral degrees.

The College has distinctive aerospace characteristics, and mainly conducts scientific research in the fields of aerospace high-temperature composite materials, aircraft high-load wheels and adaptive braking systems, modern aircraft manufacturing technology, integrated management and measurement and control technology of airborne public electromechanical systems, and aircraft navigation, guidance and control technology. It has an aircraft landing system laboratory, a key professional laboratory of aerospace materials with national defense characteristics and a key professional laboratory of detection, guidance and control technology with national defense characteristics.

At present, the College undertakes the key project of the National "863" Plan "Modern Vehicle Brake System Technology", the project of China Commercial Aircraft Co., Ltd. "Research on runway adaptive identification technology", as well as several national natural science foundation projects, basic scientific research projects of the Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense, and military supporting projects of the Science, Technology and Industry Committee for National Defense. At the same time, as technical support and support, we jointly undertake the research and development of wheel brake system of the national major science and technology special large aircraft (COMAC9 19) project with Changsha Singapore Airlines Wheel Brake Co., Ltd.

The college has made three five-year plans: the first five-year plan completes the discipline layout, establishes several research directions with distinctive aerospace characteristics, and pays attention to the combination of personnel training and undertaking major aerospace scientific research projects. The Twelfth Five-Year Plan will complete the discipline construction, innovate the technology in the space field, develop the products in the space field, and form a teaching and scientific research entity that runs through the discipline development and major scientific research tasks. The Third Five-Year Plan will become a research-oriented college with distinctive characteristics in the field of aerospace research in China, advanced in the world and first-class in China.

Second, Changsha Aviation Vocational and Technical College

Changsha Aviation Vocational and Technical College was founded in 1973 and upgraded to a full-time higher vocational college with the approval of the former State Education Commission in 1998. The College is affiliated to the Air Force Equipment Department, and the Military Academy is named "China People's Liberation Army Air Force Aviation Maintenance Technology College", which is the only national education college in the whole army.

The college covers an area of more than 800 mu, with a construction area of more than 300,000 square meters, total assets of 389 million yuan, teaching instruments and equipment worth 68.8 million yuan, and a collection of 628,000 books. There are two campuses and an education and training center. There are five secondary colleges including aviation equipment maintenance engineering, aviation machinery manufacturing engineering, aviation electronic and electrical engineering, aviation service and management, and continuing education. There are three teaching departments: basic courses, political theory courses and sports work (teaching). There are 27 majors in higher vocational colleges, including aircraft maintenance, aircraft control equipment and instruments, numerical control technology, applied electronic technology and aviation services. Provincial vocational college professional teachers' professional skills teaching level training and certification center 1 unit, and 3 professional technical training bases of general equipment support system of PLA General Armament Department. Under the Air Force Equipment Repair Enterprise Ideological and Political Work Research Center, Air Force Aviation Repair System Education and Training Center, Staff Qualification Examination and Certification Center, National Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute and Military Equipment Repair Enterprise Vocational Skills Appraisal Institute. On October 20th/3rd16th13rd, the first collaborative innovation center of aviation vocational education and technology was established in China. The Collaborative Innovation Center consists of 57 units including military maintenance equipment enterprises, AVIC enterprises, civil aviation enterprises, general aviation enterprises, aviation research institutes and secondary vocational colleges, with Changsha Aviation Vocational and Technical College as the director unit.
