He is a master of jade carving in Henan Province, a master of arts and crafts in Nanyang City, and a senior craftsman. Currently, he is a researcher at Nanyang Dushan Jade Carving Research Institute and an executive director of Zhenping County Gemstone and Jade Association.

Dong Xuezhong is good at the design and engraving of Dushan jade, purple-green agate, Hetian jade and other materials. He designs and produces Dushan Yushanzi works. His works focus on fine craftsmanship, unique and novel techniques, and are heavy and elegant. Elegant style. On the basis of inheriting traditional carving techniques, his ornamental works draw lessons from traditional Chinese painting techniques and theories, and integrate Chinese traditional culture into them, and pay attention to artistic improvement and cultural connotation.
