According to the records in Volume 75 of Fengtian Tongzhi, the "Shenyang White Pagoda" was built in the fourth year of Yongle in the Ming Dynasty, namely 1406, and was supervised by Deben, a Buddhist monk. So why are the modeling styles of Shenyang Baita and Liaoyang Baita so similar? This can only be said to be a misunderstanding.

Why should Shenyang Baita be rebuilt? This should start with history. 1905, Japan and Russia fought fiercely in Liaoshen, and there was a fierce exchange of fire in the suburbs of Shenyang. The White Pagoda in Shenyang is very high. In order to prevent Russian troops from spying on Japanese actions through the commanding heights of the White Pagoda, the Japanese army destroyed this century-old Shenyang White Pagoda with artillery. Later, after many investigations, it was proved that the ancient pagoda recorded in Shihan was originally the Liaota of Chenxiangtun in Jizhou, not the rebuilt Shenyang White Pagoda. Shenyang White Pagoda is an out-and-out Ming Pagoda.
