Nanxun Station is a part of the express railway connecting Shanghai, Suzhou, Huzhou and other cities, with a design speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The construction of the station aims to further optimize the layout of regional road network, relieve the transportation pressure of Shanghai-Nanjing and Shanghai-Hangzhou railway passages, and is of great significance to promoting the economic and social development along the line and the integrated and high-quality development of the Yangtze River Delta. Nanxun Station is under construction and will be completed and opened to traffic in 2024. By then, the high-speed train journey from Huzhou to Shanghai will be shortened from 2 hours to 30 minutes.
