Difference between plastic-lined grooved pipe fittings, plastic-coated grooved pipe fittings and hot-rolled grooved pipe fittings

Plastic-lined grooved pipe fitting is a kind of composite pipe fitting formed by injecting PP into grooved pipe fitting by injection molding machine.

However, due to the high cost of mold opening, few manufacturers in Chinese mainland market adopt this method at present. Even if it is used, because there is no plastic at the end of the pipe fitting, iron will still contact with water, and the corrosion resistance is not ideal. It is a product with fatal defects, and at the same time, few projects can be produced.

At present, the two popular methods are plastic coating or rotational molding. They are usually called plastic-lined pipes. But even if it is plastic coating and rotational molding, there are essential differences in technology and use effect.

Plastic-coated grooved pipe fittings are generally coated with epoxy resin powder inside ductile iron grooved pipe fittings.

However, this kind of pipe fitting is not as mature as hot-rolled grooved pipe fitting in technology, because the adhesive force of plastic inside it is not as good as hot-rolled grooved pipe fitting.

Thermo-rotational molding grooved pipe fitting is a kind of general pe, and the grooved pipe fitting has high-temperature composite cold and hot water, and the adhesion is quite firm. It will be discovered by destructive tests with knives.

PE lining of hot rotational molding pipe fittings is difficult to cut off.

The epoxy resin used in ordinary plastic-coated grooved pipe fittings is easy to fall off even during construction.
