Graduates from our school mainly find employment in the information and communication industry. In 2013, our school had ***2,088 people (559 undergraduates and 1,529 graduate students) working in China Mobile Communications Group Corporation, China Telecom Co., Ltd., China United Network Communications Group Co., Ltd., and Baidu Online Network Technology (Beijing) Co., Ltd. , Microsoft Corporation, International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), Tencent Holdings Co., Ltd. and other communications and information industry companies, accounting for 57.65% of the employment.

In recent years, as the demand for communication and computer talents in the financial industry continues to increase, the number of people employed in the financial industry in our school has been increasing year by year. In 2013, 470 people from our school (68 undergraduates and 402 graduate students) were employed in financial institutions such as Agricultural Bank of China, Bank of China, China Construction Bank, and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, accounting for 12.98% of the total number of employees. The employment industries of our school graduates also cover industries such as education consulting, aerospace, electric power and nuclear industry.

In 2013, the total number of graduates from our school was 5,732, and the number of employed people was 5,706. The total employment rate was 99.55%. Among them: 3079 undergraduates graduated, 3053 were employed, the employment rate was 99.16%, and 26 people were waiting for employment, and the employment rate was 0.84%; 2653 graduates graduated, and 2653 were employed. The rate is 100%. Among the 2013 undergraduate graduates, 1,053 were employed[3], accounting for 34.20% of the total number of undergraduate graduates; 1,246 were entering higher education, accounting for 40.47%; and 754 were going abroad, accounting for 24.49%. The total number of people pursuing further studies is 2,000, and the postgraduate study rate is 64.96%. Compared with 2012, the proportion of students entering higher education in our school increased by 2.48%, the proportion of students going abroad increased by 0.31%, and the proportion of students studying for further study increased by 2.79%. The proportion of undergraduates continuing their studies continues to increase.

Among the 1,053 undergraduate graduates employed, Beijing is the city with the largest number of graduates working. The number of undergraduate graduates working in Beijing is 481, accounting for 45.68% of the employed.

The school actively strengthens communication and contact with employers and continuously explores the job market. On the basis of maintaining the characteristics of the industry and consolidating the existing job market for graduates in communications, electronics, computers, Internet and other fields, we will focus on expanding the job market in key national industries and fields such as aerospace, national defense and military industry, financial services, and electric power and energy. In 2013, the school organized 3 large-scale job fairs, 7 medium-sized job fairs, 265 company-specific job fairs, and the school’s employment information network released 1,297 recruitment information.
