Does Dushanzi belong to Karamay City?

Dushanzi area is a free translation of Dushan ("Mayitake Mountain" in Uighur) at the southern end. Kazakh language is called "Mayitao", which means "Oil Mountain". Dushanzi oil exploitation began in the 23rd year of Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1897). In the 25th year of the Republic of China (1936), Soviet technology and equipment were introduced, and Dushanzi mining area was formed on the north slope of Dushanzi (Mountain), where oil workers lived in concentrated communities. After liberation, production developed rapidly, reaching 1953, and it has developed into a new town with more than 10,000 people. On February 22nd, 1955, the local administrative working committee of Dushanzi mining area was established. 1956 was changed to "Dushanzi Town People's Committee of Xinjiang Weishi Second Autonomous Region" (county-level organizational system), which was directly led by the People's Committee of the autonomous region.

Karamay City 1958 was established, and Dushanzi was assigned to Karamay City 1 District (county-level organizational system). 1970 set up the mining area revolutionary Committee. 1June, 982, the Sixth People's Congress was held and the District People's Government was established. 1984, the autonomous region decided that Karamay was a municipality directly under the central government without districts, abolished Dushanzi District of Karamay, and established Dushanzi Town People's Government of Karamay (county-level organizational system). 1990, the autonomous region restored Karamay as a city divided into districts and re-established the Dushanzi District Municipal People's Government.
