Geographical location of Fangchenggang, Guangxi

Fangchenggang is located at the southern tip of Guangxi [1], beside the beautiful and rich Beibu Gulf. It is a new coastal port industrial city. Now it has jurisdiction over Port Area, Fangcheng District, Shangsi County and dongxing city, with a total area of 6,222 square kilometers, 24 townships and 2 sub-district offices, inhabited by 2/kloc-0 ethnic groups such as Han, Zhuang, Yao and Beijing, with a total population of more than 900,000. It is the second largest hometown of overseas Chinese in Guangxi, and is known as "the gateway to the southwest and the pearl of the border".

Fangchenggang Port Area was built by the port, so it is named after the port. Build the port first, then the city. Fangchenggang was founded in March 1968. 1May, 1984, Fangchenggang and Beihai were approved by the whole country and listed as one of the national 14 coastal cities open to the outside world. 1985 set up prefecture-level Fangchenggang district,1May 1993, the State Council approved the establishment of prefecture-level Fangchenggang city.
