Hezhou, the city and county of Maanshan, is located in the east of Anhui, at the edge of the Yangtze River Delta, at the forefront of the development of the Wanjiang River, and is the hub of the Yangtze River and Huaihe River. On the right is the Yangtze River, on the left is Zhaoguan, on the south is Tianmen, on the north is Haochu, Nanjing, the ancient capital of the Ten Dynasties, and Wuhu, the rice market in Kyushu, overlooking Maanshan, the steel city. The terrain slopes from northwest to southeast. Northwest is the tail of the Jianghuai Hill, with an altitude of 200-300 meters. Most of the southeast is the plain along the river, with an altitude of less than 50 meters. Yuxi River, Niutun River and Desheng River flow into the Yangtze River in parallel. Chuhe River is the boundary river between this county and Quanjiao County. The climate belongs to north subtropical humid monsoon climate, with annual average temperature 15.7℃ and annual precipitation1000 mm. Mineral resources include coal, iron, dolomite and yellow sand.
