Taibailou is located on the north bank of the ancient canal in Jining city.

Taibailou was originally a restaurant run by Helan family in Tang Dynasty. In the 24th year of Kaiyuan in the Tang Dynasty (736), the great poet Li Bai, his wife Xu and his daughter Pingyang moved from Anlu, Hubei Province to Rencheng (Jining) and lived in front of a hotel. Every day, they drink and write many poems. The restaurants in Helan are also famous for Li Bai's frequent visits, and their business is booming. Since the second year of Tang Xiantong (86 1), Guang Shen, a Wuxing person, admired Li Bai, visited Helan Restaurant, inscribed a plaque for Taibai Restaurant in Loutai, and wrote The Story of Li Hanlin Restaurant. Since then, Helan's restaurant has become a Taibai restaurant, which is famous all over the world. During the Song, Jin and Yuan Dynasties, restaurants were decorated according to their appearance. In the 24th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (139 1), Zuo Wei of Jining commanded Di Chong to rebuild Taibai Restaurant, and moved it to the wall of Chengnan City according to the original architectural style with the intention of dying immortals, and removed the word "Taibai Building", which was rebuilt dozens of times in the Ming, Qing and Republic of China.

Taibai Building was rebuilt on the wall of the old city by the people's government in 1952. The reconstructed Taibai Building, together with the abutment, covers an area of 4,000 square meters. The building is two-story, with double eaves and brick-wood structure, and a fan-shaped Taibai building is suspended in the middle of the second floor. There is a big stone tablet on the north wall of the main hall upstairs, engraved with poems written by poets in the Ming Dynasty. There are three stone carvings of Li Bai, Du Fu and He under the stone tablet. In the verandah and courtyard of the building, there are more than 60 plaques, such as the notes of Li Bairen Pavilion, the praises and poems of literati since the Tang Dynasty, and the "Deng Taibai Building" of Emperor Qianlong. There is a rare and spectacular calligraphy square tablet of Li Bai. 1987, Jining established the Li Bai Memorial Hall in Taibai Building.
