At present, there are more than 70 owners in Longrun Garden Community, who, like Cherie Sun, consciously classify their food waste every day. Su Zhenhua, manager of the residential property service center, the initiator of the after-dinner garbage sorting and collection activity, said that this environmental protection activity is not a "whim", but will be carried out for a long time.

The number of families participating in the pilot project greatly exceeded.

At the beginning of the construction, Langrunyuan Community was equipped with two organic waste processors. But because it needs the cooperation of the owner to use it, it has been brewing and planning.

At present, the whole society is advocating the concept of environmental protection and low carbon, and Langrunyuan Property Service Center feels that the time is ripe. And through consulting a large number of materials, the center found that kitchen waste can be turned into treasure after treatment. As a result, the property management company issued an initiative to the owners in February last year.

Soon, this initiative, which was originally planned to be piloted among only 30 owners, was responded by more than 70 owners who were enthusiastic about public welfare, and the number of households participating in the pilot greatly exceeded.

Organic fertilizer is used to cultivate greening.

In order to try not to "add trouble" to the owners participating in the pilot, the property service center has been very thoughtful: each household will be given two plastic trash cans for standby; Every night, someone will come to collect the after-dinner garbage.

The reporter saw in the garbage side hall in the southwest corner of the community that two organic garbage processors were placed in a relatively closed space. The staff said: "We stipulate that the garbage after meals on the same day must be treated on the same day, so it will not produce a lot of odor." The recovered dietary waste must be manually sorted and discharged before it can be put into the organic waste processor. After mechanical degradation, 95% of the waste can be converted into organic fertilizer, which can be used for greening and fertilization in the community.

At present, the daily recycling of kitchen waste in the whole community is only 50-80 kg, while the daily processing capacity of two organic waste processors can reach 400 kg. In this regard, Su Zhenhua said that after the large-scale implementation of classified collection of kitchen waste, the two machines can play the greatest role.
