Zhong Rongguang (1866- 1942) is a native of Xiaolan Town, Zhongshan City, Guangdong Province.

Zhong was good at writing stereotyped writing in his early years. Later, he served as the head teacher of Chinese in Gezhi College and began to learn western learning. His experience is quite similar to that of Cai Yuanpei.

Famous educator, the first Chinese president of Lingnan University. 1894, Zhongjuren was famous for his eight-part essay. After joining the meeting, he founded newspapers and periodicals such as Wenbai Newspaper and Kebao to publicize the revolution and participate in anti-Qing revolutionary activities. From 65438 to 0899, he was employed by the American missionary school-Guangzhou Gezhi College (predecessor of Lingnan University) to teach Chinese. Later, he became the provost of Lingnan School and the chairman of the board of directors of Lingnan University. 1928, Lingnan University was taken over by China people and became the first president. The following year, he was appointed honorary president of Lingnan University. While in charge of Lingnan University, he founded Lingnan Agricultural University, Lingnan Institute of Technology, Business School and Sun Yixian Medical College. 1942 died in Hong Kong.
