Noise often occurs in life. Which department should I find to deal with noise disturbing people? Then be sure to know the classification of noise, and different departments manage different noises.

Noise is basically divided into four categories:

(1) Industrial noise refers to the sound that interferes with the surrounding living environment when fixed equipment is used in industrial production activities, and is under the jurisdiction of the Environmental Protection Bureau.

(2) Construction noise refers to the noise generated in the process of construction that interferes with the surrounding living environment and is under the jurisdiction of the Environmental Protection Bureau.

(3) Traffic noise refers to the sound produced by motor vehicles, railway locomotives, motor vehicles, aircraft and other means of transportation that interfere with the surrounding living environment during operation. Road motor vehicles are under the jurisdiction of public security and other industrial departments.

(4) Social noise that interferes with the surrounding living environment caused by human activities except industrial noise, construction noise and traffic noise belongs to the jurisdiction of public security organs in principle, but there are two exceptions: normal noise in the operation of cultural and entertainment places and commercial fixed equipment and facilities.

If residents feel that noise pollution in the community is disturbing the people, they can first report it to the property management company and let the property management company come forward to coordinate and solve it. If the communication and coordination of the property management company fails, the owner can call 12369 to complain to the environmental protection department.

Article 83 of People's Republic of China (PRC) Property Law

Owners shall abide by laws, regulations and management regulations. For acts that damage the legitimate rights and interests of others, such as dumping garbage at will, discharging pollutants or noise, raising animals illegally, building illegally, occupying passages, refusing to pay property fees, the owners' assembly and the owners' committee have the right to ask the actors to stop the infringement, eliminate the danger, remove the obstacles and compensate the losses in accordance with laws, regulations and management regulations. Owners who infringe upon their legitimate rights and interests may bring a lawsuit to the people's court according to law.
