Du Dong Mansion in Zhangjiagang was originally used as an office building. Located in Renmin Road, Zhangjiagang City, Dudong Building was built in the 1990s, with a building area of about 65,438+700,000 ㎡. It was originally Guohua Building, and was later bought by Jiangsu Tobacco Du Dong Co., Ltd. and renamed as Dudong Building.

Dudong Building was once a landmark building in Zhangjiagang. After years of vicissitudes, the four-character signboard of Dudong Building is still hanging, and its appearance is still very magnificent, not losing the office building in Zhangjiagang. Due to the lack of foresight in the construction process at that time, Dudong Building didn't even have central air conditioning, and its internal facilities were outdated, so it was really not suitable for continuing to be an office building, and it was finally demolished.

Dudong Building 202 1 was included in the house expropriation plan of Zhangjiagang City 202 1. In May this year, the public bidding service platform of China released the bid-winning result of the demolition project of Dudong Building, and made it clear that Dudong Building was about to be demolished. In order to ensure the safety of demolition construction, the main building was demolished by controlled blasting after comprehensive comparison. In September 2022, with a loud noise, this old landmark that stood for nearly 30 years withdrew from the historical stage.
