Brief introduction of new Hepu

People in Guangzhou used to say that they had the money to live in Xiguan and the right to live in Dongshan. During the Republic of China, the new Hepu area was the settlement of overseas Chinese, wealthy businessmen and politicians, and the residential buildings here were all in the pattern of western-style garden villas. The largest existing low-rise quadrangle-style modern building complex in Guangzhou is located here. Like xiguan big house in the west of the city (Xiguan), they are two typical traditional houses in Guangzhou, which were officially listed as municipal historical and cultural protection zones on April 16, 2006. 1923 June 12 to 20 June, the third national congress of China * * * production party was held here.

Most of the historical protection buildings in New Hepu are independent low-rise residential buildings, mostly imitating western classical buildings, with clear water red brick walls, water-brushed stones in the Republic of China and western style as the main architectural features. There are four representative buildings, namely Spring Garden, Zhenyuan Garden, Kuiyuan Garden and Mingyuan Garden on Peizheng Road.
