3. The basic security mechanism fails. Water accumulated in the elevator pit will cause the tensioner of the speed limiter located at the bottom of the elevator to rust or slip, and the compensation chain located at the bottom of the elevator car will bring water to the elevator track, hall door, car roof and wire rope when moving at high speed. Once the wire rope slips, the speed limiter is the last safety measure. Because the tensioner of the speed limiter can't work normally, the speed limiter can't be started, which will directly lead to the elevator falling.

4, affect the service life and comfort of the elevator. In the pit with long-term water accumulation, excessive humidity will cause serious corrosion of the main metal structure of the elevator, corrosion failure of the metal contacts, and the elevator is prone to abnormal sound, jamming and excessive friction.
