Zinc alloy castings are plated with copper first and then nickel. Are white spots and blistering normal? How are they formed? Hope to get a professional answer.

Two reasons.

1. The quality of zinc-aluminum alloy die casting itself, whether the structure is compact, whether the material is uniform and whether there is segregation may directly affect the electroplating quality in the later period.

Second, the reason of electroplating operation, whether degreasing is clean, whether electroplating process is reasonable and whether plating solution is normal are all key points. There is also the use of galvanized parts, not high temperature.

At present, it is best to use cyanide (low concentration) electroplating as the base, and then plate others, and the effect is better.
