Why does Poland hate homosexuality?

Homophobia in Poland is mainly driven by two factors: one is the influence of Catholicism, and the other is people's fear that homosexuality may lead to population decline.

First of all, Poland is a Catholic country, and Catholicism does not agree with homosexuality. This makes homosexuality unpopular in Polish society. Catholic views on homosexuality have influenced the values of Polish society to a certain extent, which makes homosexuals discriminated against in religion and morality.

Secondly, people's fear that homosexuality may lead to population decline is also a cause of homophobia in Poland. This is mainly because homosexual sex can not be pregnant and have children, which means that homosexuality may reduce the population. This kind of worry is particularly obvious in rural areas, because rural values tend to be more conservative and pay more attention to family and children.
