The food processing park has built a "Feidong model" for the intensive processing and development of agricultural products (15.50, -0.26,-1.65%), with New Hope, lotus town, Yanzhifang, Huazhijia and Huizhou shopping malls as the leaders, and the intensive gathering and cluster development of feed, agricultural products processing, refrigeration and sales. The provincial agricultural industrialization site meeting and the national agricultural industrialization management system and mechanism reform and innovation site meeting were held here successively, which won wide acclaim. Therefore, the food processing park was awarded the honorary title of "National Agricultural and Sideline Products Processing and Entrepreneurship Base (awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture)" and "Agricultural Industrialization Agricultural and Sideline Products Processing and Entrepreneurship Demonstration Park in the whole province".

The development zone has superior geological conditions, sufficient power supply, sufficient land supply, abundant labor resources and relaxed management environment.

The long-term planning area of the development zone is 30 square kilometers and the built-up area is 9 square kilometers. At present, the developable area of "three links and one leveling" is 12 square kilometers. By the end of June 2008, the accumulated investment was 6 billion yuan, including 654.38+6 billion yuan for infrastructure construction and 4.2 billion yuan for project construction.
