Circuit board theory in circuit board industry

In the circuit board industry, there are many technical terms, such as "whole board", "broken board", "main board" and "daughter board". This article will introduce the meaning of these statements in detail.

The whole board

In the circuit board industry, "whole board" refers to a whole board assembled in production, that is, a copper clad plate is about 1.2 square meter. According to the different mechanical capacity, the circuit board factory will split it into 2 to 10 panels. Some people call this kind of panel the whole board, for example, the whole board electroplating is the whole board.

Broken plate

"Broken board" is mostly used in the quality inspection of circuit board industry, that is, "the board that should be connected is broken" is called broken board, which may be V-cut board or mechanical fracture. This usually means "scrap".

Main board, daughter board and daughter board

"Motherboard", "daughter board" or "secondary board" are the common names of the circuit board industry, which refer to the motherboard, daughter board and secondary board of the circuit board respectively. Among them, the main board refers to the main body of the whole circuit board, the daughter board refers to the branch circuit board on the main board, and the daughter board refers to the daughter circuit board on the daughter board.
