2. Scrape the soil and move it sideways

This operation method is suitable for clearing soil to repair subgrade, leveling ground, backfilling ditches, paving or mixing subgrade and pavement materials.

First, adjust the scraping angle (generally 60) according to the requirements of the construction object and the soil properties. - 70。 ) and shovel angle (about 45. ), when the grader advances at the speed of second or third gear, the left and right ends of the scraper are put down at the same time to cut soil or other materials.

In the middle, the blown soil will move along the side of the cutter face and be placed on one side of the retaining embankment, which may be on the outside or inside of the machine, depending on the construction requirements. For example, when soil is moved to fill an embankment, the soil is unloaded to the outside or inside of the machine.

Both sides are ok, but when backfilling ditches, the soil must be unloaded outside the machinery. Therefore, the adjustment of the scraping angle and lateral extension of the grader and the downward inclination of the left and right ends of the scraper must meet the construction requirements.

No matter whether the soil is unloaded outside or inside the machine, the unloaded soil should not be on the driving track of the rear wheel of the grader, otherwise it will not only affect the traction of the grader, but also lift the scraper, leaving uneven areas.

In order to meet the above requirements, sometimes according to different construction objects, the scraper is extended sideways or the turntable is swung sideways at the same time. For all-wheel steering graders, the front and rear wheels can also be biased to one side at the same time, so that the grader can run under the condition that the fuselage is inclined.

All-wheel steering grader is especially suitable for curve operation. At this time, the front and rear wheels can adapt to the curve situation and cooperate with steering, which can greatly improve the working efficiency. For the grader with full rotation of the scraper, in order to improve the production efficiency, when the machine reaches the end of the working area, the scraper can be rotated by 180, so that the scraper is in the position opposite to the driving direction of the grader, and the machine can be constructed backwards. This method is similar to the "shuttle" operation method, especially suitable for the construction of long and narrow sections, which can improve productivity, because it takes much less time to rotate the scraper than to turn around the grader.

The method of scraping the soil and moving directly is suitable for places with small flatness, or the final leveling work when trimming the road type, as well as loose materials and other operations. Before operation, adjust the shovel angle of the scraper a little larger, generally 60-70, and then place the scraper horizontally (the plane angle is 90). After the grader advances at the second or third speed, both ends of the scraper descend equally, and a small amount of soil is cut off, so the scraped soil accumulates in front of the knife, most of the soil is pushed forward, and a small amount overflows to both sides. For a small amount of spilled soil, when the scraper cuts into the original soil layer in the last stage, it can be completely scraped off by rapid propulsion.
