Daqing Oilfield is a central enterprise. Specifically, Daqing Oilfield Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of China Oil and Gas Co., Ltd., while China Oil and Gas Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of China Oil and Gas Group. China Petroleum and Natural Gas Group Company is a state-owned super-large petroleum and petrochemical enterprise group directly managed by the central government, so Daqing Oilfield, as its wholly-owned subsidiary, also belongs to the category of central enterprises. Daqing oilfield is one of the few very large continental sandstone oilfields in the world. Located in the west of Heilongjiang Province, in the middle of Songnen Plain, between Harbin and Qiqihar. The length of the oilfield from north to south is 140km, and the width from east to west is 70km, with a total area of 5470km. On March 26th, 2023, Daqing Oilfield officially announced that the cumulative output of crude oil in this oilfield exceeded 2.5 billion tons.
