Chongqing University of Humanities and Science is a full-time school. Chongqing College of Humanities was established in May 2000, formerly known as Yucai College of Southwest University. On April 27th, 20 13, approved by the Ministry of Education, it was transformed into an independent ordinary undergraduate college, becoming the first private ordinary undergraduate college in Chongqing. At the beginning of 20 13, the school was identified by the Ministry of Education as one of the pilot universities for strategic research in Universities of Applied Sciences, and it is actively establishing Universities of Applied Sciences, which has important influence in the western region and the whole country. The school has the right to award bachelor's degrees. As of March 20 19, Chongqing College of Humanities and Science has a land area of about 2,055 mu, with seven secondary colleges (departments)/kloc-0, 43 undergraduate majors, one specialist major 1 one, more than 2000 full-time teachers 1000, and nearly 2/kloc-0 students.
