K factor in Solidworks is an essential parameter in sheet metal calculation, and its value is not invariable. Different bending machines and different plate thicknesses have different values.

1, blanking: the next sample material, with an integer length, is convenient for later calculation. Length L = 100 mm, width b = 40.

2. Try bending: under the guidance of the bending master, bend it into a 90-degree right-angle bend, as shown in the figure. Measure the values of a and c with calipers, and take the average after many measurements. If the factory has an R gauge, the R value can be measured with the R gauge.

3. Draw the bending part with solidworks, and input the calculated value in the k coefficient.

4. Use software to calculate the expanded size of sheet metal.

5. Use this dimension for blanking and bending to verify whether the K factor value is correct.
