In a multi-brand clothing buyer company like I.T., what's the difference between a merchandiser and a non-stop job?

A merchandiser generally refers to a senior manager at the senior management level, who mainly faces customers, such as merchandising, production, documentation and sample processing.

Buyers are generally divided into three buyers.

The first kind of buyer belongs to a company and works for several brands of the company. This is our most familiar buyer. Such buyers tend to buy finished products for companies and department stores.

The second kind of buyers should contact suppliers, factories, fabric manufacturers and cooperate with designers. They decide the clothing production in the current season according to the fashion trend of the year, the sales situation of the previous year and the price of fabrics, so such buyers will work in the whole clothing production chain.

The third kind of buyers mainly serve what we usually call specialty stores. By trying to figure out the preferences of guests, commission is charged according to quarterly sales.

The merchandiser you ask generally belongs to the second category.
