Postdoctoral positions can be funded by Dr. Shyam Krishnakumar in the laboratory of Yale University School of Medicine/Yale Institute of Nanobiology.

Successful candidates will apply biochemical, biophysical and optical methods, with special emphasis on biochemical reconstruction of the system, to study the molecular mechanism of the synchronization of neurotransmitter release and use-dependent plasticity.

They will be an integral part of the research project in cooperation with Professor kirill Wolinski's team. UCL Institute of Neurology, Queen Square, Yale University.

Applicants should have (or soon hope to have) a Ph.D. in biochemistry, cell biology or neuroscience, and have research records in experimental laboratories and good publishing records.

Protein biochemistry and fluorescence microscope (* * * focusing /TIRF imaging) are ideal.

I hope to know the principles of membrane biology, molecular biology and biophysics and scientific computer programming knowledge.

Applicants must be able to work independently and as part of a cooperative team.
