What is QC?

QC is the abbreviation of English quality control, and Chinese is "quality control". In ISO 9000: 2005, quality planning is defined as "guiding and controlling the organization's coordination activities in quality". Quality control is defined as "a part of quality management, committed to meeting quality requirements". According to the control characteristics and sequence of products in the process, product quality control can be divided into four stages: incoming quality control (IQC), process quality control (IPQC), final inspection and verification (FQC) and ex-factory quality control (OQC).

In order to meet the quality requirements, the organization will set up quality management and quality control departments, and arrange quality control personnel engaged in quality control functions. Generally, quality control functions are shared by quality inspectors (QC) and quality engineers (QE).
