Hengyang Technician College was approved by the Hunan Provincial People's Government in August 2006, and was established on the basis of the merger of Hengyang No.1 Senior Technical School, Hengyang Biology and Information School, Hengyang Economic and Trade School and Hengyang Electromechanical Engineering School.
