Introduction to Pisces Island

The Beangyu Island project is located in the Zhangzhou Merchants Economic and Technological Development Zone. It is the first commercial sea-use project approved by the State Council. The project is in the shape of a circle surrounded by two fishes, with a radius of 840 meters and a planned area of ??221.67 hectares, of which 182.30 hectares are land area formed by reclamation and 11.7 kilometers of coastline. Pisces Island is invested and developed by China Merchants Zhangzhou Development Zone Co., Ltd., with a total investment of approximately 3.5 billion yuan in island building projects and municipal supporting facilities. In February 2010, the Pisces Island project officially started construction. It is expected that Beas Island will be fully developed by 2024.
