School-running characteristics of College of Pharmacy, Guilin Medical College

With the care and support of the party and government leaders, relying on the wisdom and strength of the majority of pharmacy teachers and cadres in the hospital, the comprehensive strength of pharmacy education has developed to the average level of similar departments in China through the efforts of several generations of old and new pharmacists. Especially in recent years, there has been a booming situation. Since 1987 began to recruit pharmaceutical undergraduates, the scale of undergraduate education has been expanding. By 1998, 140 ~ 150 pharmaceutical undergraduates were enrolled every year, reaching more than 400 at present. This scale is not much in similar departments in China.

The College of Pharmacy has 78 faculty members, including 5 professors, 5 associate professors and equivalent titles 15, 20 lecturers and equivalent titles, 32 doctors and masters, and 5 in-service doctoral students. To undertake the tasks of theoretical teaching, practical teaching and pharmaceutical professional skills training for 35 compulsory courses and more than 30 elective courses in five majors of Guilin Medical College.
