What is butyl rubber?

It is a one-component solvent-free sealant with polyisobutylene as the main base material (fundamentally eliminating the root cause of atomization on the inner surface of insulating glass)

Butyl rubber is mainly used to make tire tubes, from bicycle tires to large trucks and bias tire. Butyl rubber has become the most ideal and extensive raw material for inner tube due to its extremely low air permeability, excellent heat resistance, bending flexibility and aging resistance.

The low permeability of butyl rubber can keep the butyl inner tube under the correct inflation pressure for a long time, and the correct inflation pressure can make the tire wear evenly, greatly prolong the life of the tire, greatly increase the driving stability and safety, and reduce the rolling resistance of the tire, thus achieving the purpose of saving fuel.

Butyl inner tube is most suitable for radial tire and bias tire. The inner rubber mixed with EPDM is especially suitable for high temperature areas and bias rubber truck tires because of its flexibility.
