Hebei Software Vocational and Technical College is located in Baoding, a famous historical and cultural city, next to Baiyangdian, now, in the capital Gulian, bordering xiong'an new area. College is a full-time general higher vocational and technical college directly under the Education Department of Hebei Province, and it is also the first independent vocational college focusing on information technology education in the province.

The college was established in 1972. In the course of 50 years, the college insists on "educating people with morality" as its fundamental task.

The school-running mode of zero distance between college and society and zero distance between students and posts insists on serving regional economic and social development, gradually clarifies the school-running orientation based on Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei and serving ICT, innovates the talent training mode and school-running system and mechanism, forms distinctive school-running characteristics of docking emerging industries and serving regional development, and realizes high-quality development of various undertakings.
