China Unicom Chat King in Shaoguan area is a 2G prepaid card. The monthly rent is 18 yuan, and you get 180 minutes of Shaoguan local call time (including local calls and local direct dial domestic long distance time, including 17911), free ringtones and caller ID. After exceeding the limit, calls within the province will be charged at 0.1 yuan/minute (including direct dial, 17911, and 10193 calls), and calls will be free throughout the province. When roaming, making calls is 0.39 yuan/minute (all inclusive, including direct dial, 17911, and 10193 methods), receiving calls outside the province is 0.39 yuan/minute, and sending text messages is 0.15 yuan/minute.

The prepaid card has the roaming function in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan enabled by default, and can roam in Hong Kong and Macao.

Note: Following notification from the Macau Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, the Macau government has arranged to shut down the 2G network before January 1, 2013 and fully transition 2G services to 3G. Starting from January 1, 2013, 2G and 3G users (including users with one card and dual numbers) holding 2G terminals will not be able to use them after roaming to Macau. It is recommended that users replace their 3G mobile phones in advance as needed.
