Wallpaper paste construction requirements

Uneven wall is not a problem, because a series of work must be done before wallpaper pasting, and the construction requirements for wallpaper pasting are put forward.

Clean the base

Before pasting, the dirt and dust on the surface of the substrate or base should be removed, and the pan-alkaline part should be neutralized and cleaned with 9% dilute acetic acid. No flying thorns, pits, sand grains and cracks. Yin and Yang angles should be straight.

Shaving treatment

The old solvent-based paint wall with firm adhesion and smooth surface should be roughened before pasting.

Paint varnish

Before pasting, seal the base with alkyd varnish.

Matching classification

Before pasting, wallpaper should be selected and classified according to varieties, patterns, colors and specifications, cut into pieces, numbered and tiled for later use. Paste in numbered order when pasting.

Paste extrusion molding method

The main procedures of wallpaper pasting are: cleaning the base, filling gaps, pasting seam tape at the joints, finding putty, sanding with sandpaper, scraping putty, coating moisture-proof agent, coating primer (degreasing), soaking wallpaper, coating adhesive on the base, coating adhesive on wallpaper, pasting, wiping and cleaning.

Oily gypsum putty

When pasting on plasterboard, the board surface should be leveled locally with oily gypsum putty, and when pasting on plasterboard without paper, the board surface should be leveled with gypsum putty first.

Paste the whole picture

The whole picture should be pasted on the wall, and the stitching should be arranged in advance. In a dark or inconspicuous place, less than one picture should be pasted, the joints at the internal corners should overlap, and there should be no joints at the external corners, which should be compacted.

Brush paint

For the base of wooden surface, a layer of paint should be painted on the wallpaper to make its color consistent with that of the surrounding walls.

Draw a vertical line

Before pasting the first wallpaper, play a vertical line as a guide line when pasting.

Brush adhesive on the back

It is forbidden to soak and paste the composite wallpaper. The back of the wallpaper should be coated with adhesive first and left for a few minutes. When pasting, the base surface should also be coated with adhesive.

Soak for a few minutes.

The wallpaper with adhesive tape should be soaked in water for a few minutes before being pasted.

Paste and align flowers.

For all kinds of wallpaper that need to be overlapped and matched, paste and match first, and then cut the remaining edges with a steel ruler. When cutting, it should be cut off at one time and not cut again. Don't cut the wallpaper that can be directly aligned with the flowers.

Same direction

Except the wallpaper marked "upside down", all other wallpapers should be pasted in the same direction.

Drive out bubbles

When pressing bubbles, you can scrape the rolled wallpaper flat with a steel scraper. For foamed and composite wallpaper, it is forbidden to use steel scraper. Only use a towel, sponge or brush to smooth it.

Wipe glue

After the pasted wallpaper is compacted, the extruded adhesive should be wiped clean in time, and there should be no bubbles and stains on the surface.
