Different campuses may be different, so let me talk about my situation in Hefei.

Because I have a classmate who is a teacher in Hefei New Oriental, I know that the job in New Oriental is quite good and the income is quite high, but I can't be a teacher because of my academic qualifications, so I found the position of course consultant in Xin 'an Talent Network New Oriental Recruitment (compared with other positions, the requirements of this position are not so high, why? I will talk about it later). After submitting my resume online, I received an interview notice in early April of 2065438+2006. Only participated in the second round and left for personal reasons. But in the same interview, several students who passed the interview chatted well and became friends. Therefore, I have a better understanding of the interview process of New Oriental. The following is a detailed introduction to the interview content of each round.

The first round: group face

About 40 people were present that day. Five people came into the room and talked with four interview teachers. In the process of waiting, there will be a promotional video of New Oriental for us to see, and a professional teacher will introduce us to the corporate culture of New Oriental, as well as the nature and content of this position. After you go in for an interview, introduce yourself first, and then the teacher will ask questions about your resume.

This level is not difficult, but there are many people to be screened (14 out of 40). In addition to a good resume to show your strengths and experiences, it is particularly important to leave a good impression on the interviewer on the spot (I was deeply impressed by her good interaction with the teacher when she introduced the relevant content of New Oriental, and I found out that she was also one of the interviewers after I went in. . . )

The second round: assessment and screening after training.

1. First of all, it is a three-day training on the main education sections of New Oriental and the system operation used at the front desk. The training content is quite large, and there will be exams every day. After the three-day training, people will be screened according to the comprehensive scores of the three-day exam and the scores of the teachers in the interview examiner, and finally 20% will be eliminated. Liberal arts students and people who recite things quickly have advantages at this level, but not all of them are rote learning. There will be many questions in the exam that need you to recommend and plan your study plan according to the counselor's situation, from study to memory to study.

After three days of training, there will be four days of trial work. Two people will be randomly assigned to each campus, and the teacher will show you the daily workflow. During these four days, you will be asked to take the initiative to receive customers at home and recommend courses according to their characteristics. In fact, the main job these days is to review and absorb the training contents of the previous days, and then the teacher will give you a simulated work trial. At the same time, you also need to take the initiative to receive customers (New Oriental is not a service industry, but to ask what needs to be handled and help them handle it). Here, in addition to practicing what you have learned on the spot, you will also exercise your courage. Everything is difficult at the beginning. When you break through the obstacles in your heart, things that seemed difficult and terrible before will happen.

It was at this stage that I fell behind, because my liberal arts was poor, I didn't form good study habits, and my mastery of knowledge was far from that of the fresh graduates interviewed in batches. After the failure, I also summed up some experiences. I hope that students who are interested in consulting can take a look and avoid repeating my mistakes:

(1) Take notes! Clarity, organization and understandability are the basic requirements.

Because of the short training time and many contents, many contents can't be absorbed quickly in class, so you need to study at home at night by relying on class notes, and the quality of the notes will seriously affect your absorption of knowledge. I bought a small notebook as a notebook at first, and the handwriting was the boss's. At the end of the day, I remembered all my notebooks, but when I got home, I was dumbfounded. All the content is scattered on all the pages, and I can't understand it at all. Therefore, I suggest that you buy more notebooks and record the different contents one by one, so that you don't have to look for records everywhere when reviewing at night, which makes you confused.

You really need to calm down and study hard.

I used to learn to play around, but my study habits were not good. In these days of training and work trial, I am still the same. In addition, my girlfriend, whom I haven't seen in the first half of the year, just came back from Shanghai and spent most of her time with her to rebuild her feelings. So I mastered the learning content so slowly that I was beaten to pieces by another girl in the same group, and finally took the initiative to quit the competition. Here, I want to tell all my friends who are interested in applying for investment consultancy and other jobs that learning is really important! Don't regret not working hard for a while!

(3) Don't think that you are here for an interview, you must demand yourself as a qualified New Oriental employee.

You try your job with a probationary attitude. After you make a mistake, you will have an excuse to explain yourself, thus lowering your requirements. The requirements of the course consultant are very strict (as can be seen from the interview above). The performance during the trial period also determines whether you can sit on the campus of New Oriental and give suggestions to the guests in the future. Therefore, you need to think about what is appropriate in terms of behavior and speech. (You can refer to the bank teller. In fact, the work of a consultant and a bank teller is really similar.). Don't wait for your teacher to remind you, because when he reminds you, you have already been deducted.

When you pass the training and trial, you will be arranged to have an interview with the department head. The person in charge will point out the shortcomings and improvement methods according to the teacher's summary, and then tell you to prepare for the third round of director interview.

The third round: department head interview

If you have passed the first two rounds, it means that you have basically met the requirements of this position, but don't be too happy, because the interview elimination rate of department directors is also very high (it is said that there are 80%). The dean of the department will look at your previous exams and job trials, then ask you some professional contents of course consultation and some things you need to remember in New Oriental, such as school motto, and then talk about your views on work and future planning. Your answer directly determines your impression of the department director. In fact, I believe that the key points of this level can also be seen from the questions of department directors: the first question is to test your mastery of basic knowledge, and the second question is to see if you are suitable for this position. After so many days of study and exercise, the previous question should not be answered wrong, and the latter question needs you to show the director through words that you are looking forward to working in this position and that you are competent. At the same time, you have a long-term plan for yourself in New Oriental. These are the epitome of the words "fit", "talent", "stability" and "development" that the department director wants to see from you. At the same time, the director will screen according to various aspects (image, temperament, maturity, etc.). After all, you are standing in a school in New Oriental to meet your parents, which needs to be considered), so what you can do at this level is to pray that others are not as good as you in all aspects.

The fourth round: principal interview

If you pass the first few levels, congratulations. You have basically been hired by New Oriental. As long as you don't make a big mistake, this level is just a form of knowing the principal. The questions asked are similar to those asked by the director. I'm sure you can answer the questions asked by the director.

…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………

From the above, you should find that the interview of New Oriental is still very strict, and the basic requirements are education first and work experience second. I knew that New Oriental had higher requirements for academic qualifications before, but after attending this interview, I personally learned the reasons: on the one hand, because it is an educational institution, highly educated employees can represent a good corporate image; On the other hand, because there are so many things to learn in New Oriental, people with general education have low learning ability and it is difficult to master them quickly in a short time. (Note that I'm talking about people with low academic qualifications. Of course, not all people with low academic qualifications have poor learning ability. New Oriental also has executives with low academic qualifications, but only a few. ) And New Oriental will ask you to keep learning: you will be asked to read a book as soon as it is over. People who have experienced different things will read different books before three sides. At the same time, you will be asked to write your learning experience and summarize the work and study content of the day.

Speaking of the position of course consultant, the professional knowledge of this job will only be learned after you receive training (if you have experience as a course consultant in other countries, it is of little significance to New Oriental, because the course content of different educational institutions is different from the applicable population, so you have to learn from the basics when you come), so the requirements of this position are not so high. But what this position needs most is that you have a good learning ability and the ability to turn what you have learned into what you use. A lot of input and a lot of output are indispensable. So this position, your work place, work style and work content may not be particularly consistent with the name of the course consultant, but it is actually the front desk of the New Oriental Campus (raise your hand in disappointment like me, why not explain it from the beginning? I made it clear from the beginning that you will see this again? ! Let's talk about development This position is highly mobile. After all, which diaosi with entrepreneurial ambition will give in and be the front desk of life? But if you can persist for a year or two, your performance appraisal will be good and your academic performance will be good during this period, so you will have strong competitiveness to compete for a higher-level consultant or management position. After all, all companies want to be managed by a familiar and trustworthy person. So if you want to hold this position, you really need to settle down and put some things aside for the time being (as in many jobs).

Finally, I can sum up my gains from this interview in one sentence: learning is really important! Instead of advertising for New Oriental, what New Oriental does is the relationship between education, education and learning? Think for yourself)
