Can medical insurance be replenished?

Urban residents' medical insurance can not be paid, and those who fail to pay within the time limit will no longer enjoy the medical insurance benefits for the next year. For example, Chengdu stipulates that medical insurance cannot be paid back for more than four months from the interruption to the payment, and it will affect the reimbursement of hospitalization medical expenses. After the insured person interrupts the payment, he/she needs to continue to pay for 12 months, and the expense pooling fund that meets the reimbursement conditions will pay calmly according to the rules.

Generally speaking, medical insurance cannot be paid if it is interrupted for more than 3 months. However, there are two situations that can be repaid. First, if the payment is broken due to the unit's reasons, the unit can make up for the employees. Employers are allowed to pay back medical insurance for no more than two years, and the years after payment can be calculated together. Among them, the supplementary expenses shall be borne by the employer. Second, people who are about to retire or are in the process of retirement can pay back when the medical insurance payment period is insufficient.
