What does the Social Security Fund Administration mainly do?

(a) to formulate the local pension (including urban pension), work injury, medical care, unemployment, overall medical care and maternity insurance and housing provident fund work plan and annual plan, and organize their implementation.

(two) responsible for pension, work injury, medical care, unemployment and maternity insurance funds, medical funds for family members of employees in government agencies and institutions, medical subsidies for civil servants and enterprise housing provident fund raising, treatment review, payment, service and management.

(three) responsible for the supervision and inspection of the implementation of social insurance policies and regulations by employers and employees within their respective jurisdictions, and correcting and handling illegal acts according to law.

(four) according to the entrustment of the administrative department of labor and social security, responsible for the identification, treatment and rehabilitation management of work-related injuries of employees of the employing units within their respective jurisdictions, and supervising the employing units to pay work-related injuries to uninsured employees according to regulations.

(five) to manage, inspect and supervise the social insurance medical services provided by the agreed medical institutions within the jurisdiction.

(six) to assist the insured units to assess the level of illness, work injury, labor ability and disability.

(seven) to accept the consultation and complaints about social insurance. The medical insurance fund refers to the special funds for basic medical insurance for employees raised by medical insurance agencies from units and individuals to ensure basic medical care for employees. The basic medical insurance fund includes two parts: social pooling fund and individual account, which are paid by employers and individual employees according to a certain proportion.

Medical insurance is one of the five social security in China. Medical insurance fund refers to the monetary fund raised by enterprises, institutions, organizations or individuals who participate in medical insurance and pay the prescribed amount of medical insurance premiums in the form of law or contract to provide basic medical insurance for the insured. The collection and management of medical insurance funds is mandatory and not for profit.

Social insurance premium income refers to the basic old-age insurance premium, unemployment insurance premium, basic medical insurance premium and other income paid by payment units and individuals according to a certain proportion of the payment base. Interest income refers to the interest income obtained by purchasing government bonds with social insurance funds or depositing them in banks. The financial subsidy income refers to the subsidy income given to the fund by the finance at the same level. Transfer income refers to the fund income transferred by the insurance object across regions. Superior subsidy income refers to the subsidy income received by the lower authorities from the higher authorities.

Article 1 In order to standardize the management and operation of the national social security fund, strengthen the supervision of the national social security fund, and realize the preservation and appreciation under the premise of ensuring safety, these Regulations are formulated in accordance with the Social Insurance Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).

Article 2 The State establishes the National Social Security Fund.

The National Social Security Fund consists of central budget allocation, state-owned capital transfer, fund investment income and other funds raised by the State Council.
