Social security does not need to be transferred across provinces.

Inter-provincial social security must be transferred. The reason for this is the following：

1. When you change jobs in different places, you need to transfer to accumulate, otherwise you can't directly accumulate the payment period;

2. Social security in multiple places can be merged, but only if social security transfer is required. Transferring social security in multiple places to one prescription can be calculated cumulatively.

The steps of social security transfer in different places are as follows:

1. Prepare relevant materials, social security card, and ensure that there is balance and resignation certificate, and ensure that the company has put social security in a "deactivated" state, personal ID card;

2. Go to the social security service center of the district social security bureau where the social security is currently purchased to handle the social security transfer-out business;

3. After entering the social security bureau, you don't need to queue up to get the number, just follow the prompts at the social security self-service terminal;

4. Print "Payment Voucher of Basic Endowment Insurance" and "Payment Voucher of Basic Medical Insurance" at the self-service terminal. These two vouchers are on a piece of paper and stamped with the special seal for the transfer and continuation of social insurance relations.

5. Finally, you can go through the social security transfer formalities with the payment voucher stamped with the special seal for social insurance relationship transfer to the social security agency at the transfer place.

There are three ways to query the social security agency:

1, through official website of the Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and by entering your own social security code, password and verification code;

2. Go to the local social security bureau, call the social security bureau service number, and conduct policy consultation and information inquiry;

3. Bring your ID card, medical insurance card or social security card to the business hall of the local social insurance agency for enquiry.

If an individual is employed across the overall planning area, his basic medical insurance relationship will be transferred accordingly, and the payment period will be calculated cumulatively.
