Standard proportion of housing provident fund payment

The deposit ratio of employees and unit housing provident fund shall not be less than 5% of the average monthly salary of employees in the previous year, and the maximum shall not exceed 12%.

However, under special circumstances, enterprises with difficulties in production and operation may apply to reduce the deposit ratio to not less than 1% for units and employees respectively.

How to calculate the deposit ceiling?

The monthly deposit base of housing provident fund shall not be higher than 3 times the average monthly salary of employees in the previous year announced by the statistical department of the city where the employees are located.
