I lost my social security ID card. Is the hukou ok?

No: to participate in (pay) social security, you must submit the original ID card of the party concerned, and you cannot use the household registration book. If the identity card of the party concerned is lost, it shall be reissued in time:

1. The applicant himself brings his household registration book to the household registration window of the local police station to apply for a replacement ID card. If there is an urgent need during the redemption period, you can also apply for a temporary id card and a three-day temporary id card, which are valid for three months from the date of issuance and have the same legal effect as a resident ID card;

2. If the parties meet the conditions for accepting one-on-one pilot of ID cards in different places, they can also apply for replacement at the designated police station of their residence with the original residence permit;

3. Print the application registration form of resident ID card after the acceptance window is accepted, and collect portrait and fingerprint information according to the staff tips;

4, the applicant in the "resident identity card application registration form" to sign, pay the certificate fee, receive the "resident identity card receipt" and fee receipt;

5. According to the progress prompt of ID card processing (in principle, it takes 60 days, and it usually takes about 30 working days in conditional areas), I will go to the local police station with the "Resident ID Card Collection Certificate".

The Law of the People's Republic of China on Resident Identity Cards stipulates that:

Article 7 A citizen shall, within three months from the date of reaching the age of 16, apply to the public security organ where his permanent residence is located for a resident identity card.

Citizens under the age of 16 shall apply for resident identity cards by guardians.

Article 10 To apply for a resident identity card, a registration form for applying for a resident identity card shall be filled in and a residence booklet submitted for examination.
