Requirements for receiving the allowance:
1. The employer pays maternity insurance for the employee for more than one year;

3. The employer pays the maternity insurance for the employee;
4. Relevant expenses during the period of giving birth to a child are in line with the relevant provisions of the family planning;
5. In accordance with the relevant regulations, the female employee who gives birth to a child will be aborted.
The standards of maternity allowance treatment are as follows:
1. Female workers who are entitled to maternity leave of three months or more in accordance with the state regulations shall be paid a lump-sum nutritional fee by the fund at 2% of the average salary of the workers of the previous year in the city;
2. Maternity allowance shall be based on the female worker's own average contribution base of the twelve months prior to the delivery or abortion, and shall be paid in accordance with the number of days of maternity leave as prescribed by the population planning and birth control department. The number of days is paid. Those who have already enjoyed the late childbirth allowance will not be entitled to it again;
3. Miscarriage allowance is paid at the rate of 20 days for early pregnancy miscarriages and 42 days for mid-term pregnancy miscarriages;
4. In case the maternity leave pay granted by the employing unit is lower than the standard of the maternity allowance, the employing unit shall make up for it in accordance with the stipulated standard.
Legal Basis: Article 56 of the Social Insurance Law of the People's Republic of China
Employees with one of the following circumstances may enjoy maternity allowance in accordance with the state regulations:
(1) female workers enjoy maternity leave for childbirth;
(2) enjoy leave for family planning surgery;
(iii) other cases stipulated by laws and regulations.
Maternity allowance is paid in accordance with the average monthly salary of the employees of the employer where the employee works in the previous year.
