Can Foshan social security be used in Guangzhou?

Foshan medical insurance can be used in Guangzhou now. However, medical treatment in different places needs to be applied to the social security agency in the area where the insurance is located.

According to the Pearl River Times on September 20 13, 12, Foshan Social Security Bureau issued "Foshan Medical Insurance Benefits Distribution and Handling Management Rules (Draft for Comment)". According to the opinion draft, three types of qualified personnel can apply for medical treatment in different places, and the medical expenses incurred in the 13 designated institutions connected with the basic medical insurance in different places (hereinafter referred to as designated medical institutions) can be settled immediately at the hospital site. There are 44 designated medical institutions outside Foshan, of which 13 has been networked, and the networked hospitals are all hospitals in Guangzhou.

These three groups of people are:

1) retirees who have lived in different places for more than 180 days (inclusive);

2) Class I and Class IV workers who are disabled due to work-related injuries;

3) On-the-job employees living outside the city 180 days or more (including 180 days) and insured residents living in different places 180 days or more (including 180 days).
