How is the social security coefficient calculated?

Social security coefficient is usually calculated according to a series of factors, which is used to determine the amount of social security contributions and the level of treatment of individuals.

These factors may include personal wage income, payment period, average wage level in the region, etc. The specific calculation method may be different due to different regions and social security policies. Under normal circumstances, the social security coefficient can be calculated according to the individual's wage income. There is usually a payment base, and individuals pay social security fees in a certain proportion according to their salary income. This ratio can be fixed or adjusted according to different wage income.

General social security payment base:

The social security payment base is generally based on my salary income in the previous year.

1. If the wage income of employees is higher than 300% of the local average wage of employees in the previous year, 300% of the local average wage of employees in the previous year will be the payment base;

2. If the wage income of employees is lower than 60% of the local average wage of employees in the previous year, 60% of the local average wage of employees in the previous year shall be the payment base;

3, the employee's salary is between 300% and 60%, according to the actual declaration. When it is impossible to determine the wage income of employees, the payment base shall be determined according to the local average wage of employees in the previous year published by the local labor administrative department.

To sum up, the calculation of social security coefficient is a process of comprehensively considering various factors, aiming at ensuring that the social security payment and treatment level of individuals can reasonably reflect their actual situation.
