How to reissue the social security card if it is lost?

If the social security card is lost, it can be reissued in the following ways:

1. You can call the hotline of the local social security agency to report the loss, or you can bring your ID card or household registration book to the local labor security computer information management center to handle the formalities of reporting the loss and replacing the card.

2. If the loss is reported successfully, with the assistance of the staff of the local labor and social security computer information management center, fill in the application form for social security card replacement, and issue a valid identity certificate to receive the receipt for social security card replacement;

3. Take the Social Security Card Reissue Receipt, report the loss to the bank where the social security card is opened, affix the bank seal, and remember the specific processing time informed by the bank;

4. After the specified time (usually 15 working days), take my ID card and social security card to reissue the receipt to the social security card management center to receive the social security card. Because the current social security card belongs to UnionPay card, you only need to report the loss at the bank. At the beginning of this year, I reported the loss in China Construction Bank (my social security card belongs to UnionPay card of China Construction Bank), but it took half a year to get a new social security card because of the troublesome business card making process.

If the cardholder can't report the loss in time for some reason, he can call 12333 social security service telephone or related bank telephone to report the loss orally, and complete the formal reporting procedures within 5 days after the temporary loss reporting, otherwise the temporary loss reporting will automatically become invalid.
