How to cancel social security?

1. If the insured person of comprehensive basic medical insurance terminates the social insurance relationship in our city for various reasons and needs to cancel the social security card, he shall handle the card cancellation business with relevant materials at the Medical Work Injury Treatment Section of the Municipal Social Security Bureau;

2. After verifying the information, the social security personnel will print the social security card cancellation notice, and the cardholder will go through the card cancellation formalities at any branch of the card-issuing bank in our city area with the social security card cancellation notice and social security card;

3. After approval, the branch staff will cancel the cardholder's medical account. The balance of medical account plus accrued interest will be transferred to the cardholder's social security card financial account after 10 working days.
